WHO IS Martha?
Marthas Music was founded in 2008 by Martha Ann Brookes in response to requests to supply good quality music making in Birmingham. Martha has been a professional musician for almost 25 years, specialising in orchestral playing and music education. She has played in many of the worlds top orchestras, playing with artists as diverse as Placido Domingo, Simon Rattle, Petula Clark and Chris de Burgh.

In her 22 years of professional music making, she has taken music into many venues, including special needs schools, prisons, a ski resort and open air venues.
Her music has taken her all over the world, including work with orchestras in France and Hong Kong. Based in Birmingham for the past 18 years, Martha is involved in many areas of music making, as well as being an active member of the free-lance music scene. She is a founder member of In-Slide-Out trombone quartet and is involved in the British Trombone Society.
Martha Ann Brookes is a graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (teaching and performance), where she won the top brass for brass playing, and holds the Certificate of Orchestral Playing from Goldsmiths College (University of London). Martha Ann Brookes is a member of the Musicians Union, and therefore covered by their public liability scheme.
She attended their Child Protection Awareness day on 18th May 2008. She is also fully CRB checked , most recently on 17/09/08
